From its unique manufacturing process, Histogen extracts two products - an insoluble human extracellular matrix (hECM) and a soluble complex of proteins - both with the potential for a variety of research and therapeutic applications.

Early-stage products, which have already passed the "proof of principle" stage, will allow Histogen to build a solid foundation as later products are in the research and development phases.

Insoluble Extracellular Matrix (ECM) - ExCeltrixTM
ExCeltrix is a unique all-human insoluble ECM formed through the Company's platform tissue-engineering technology. ExCeltrix is most similar to early embryonic structural tissue which provides the framework and signals necessary for cell ingrowth and tissue development. By producing similar ECM materials to those that aided in the original formation of these tissues in the embryo, regenerative cells are supported both in vitro and as therapeutics in vivo.

Therapeutic applications include use as a dermal filler for soft tissue augmentation, a bone filler for bone stimulation and critical defect repair, tissue regeneration patches for surgical applications, and coatings for devices in the areas of cardiovascular, orthopedics, and urological repair.

Cell Conditioned Media
The unique liquid formula produced within Histogen simulated embryonic environment contains the soluble biologicals secreted while developing the insoluble ECM. These potent biological actives are naturally infused into the liquid media in a stabilized form. It is the first naturally stabilized and bioactive formulation of Wnt proteins and their cofactors, offering unique application opportunities including research tool kits, biologics such as the injectable for hair regrowth, and as an additive to cosmeceuticals.

During normal embryonic growth Wnt proteins are secreted, signaling molecules that regulate cell-to-cell interactions.

Wnts control how stem cells divide, regulate many of the decisions that cells make as they become a specific tissue, and are critical in the regeneration and renewal of adult tissues.
